Introduction

Founded in 1981, The Willow was one of the first private and independent nursery schools in the area. The Willow uses a mixture of Montessori teaching methods and the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and is renowned for being extremely creative in the areas of art and craft, music, dance and drama.

At The Willow we pride ourselves in providing a safe and happy environment where learning is a joyful and rewarding experience. We have a strong belief that encouragement and praise both in work and play are the foundations for building self-esteem, confidence and a sense of worth.

Our aim is to help your child to extend their social and communicative skills by sharing and caring for others, coping with emotions, expressing their opinions and broadening inquisitiveness and an awareness of the world around them.

Children are taught by qualified and experienced Montessori & Nursery teachers and assistants.
Children are taken between the ages of 2 ½ to 5 years.
The class ratio for 2 ½ to 3 year olds is 1:4
The class ratio for 3 to 5 year olds is 1:8
