The Team

Caroline Henson is Joint Headmistress and has been a teacher at The Willow since 2001. She is a trained Montessori teacher and worked at Hill House School in Knightsbridge for sixteen years. Caroline teaches the older children and prepares them for their transition to reception by developing their language and number skills. Caroline has three children of her own and is extremely experienced in all area of teaching at The Willow. DSC08243
Sarah Turner has been at The Willow since 2014 and has recently been promoted to Joint Head. She has an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young people’s Workforce. Sarah is also a Registered Childminder and worked as a Childminder for three years. Prior to having children Sarah worked for Wandsworth Council for the Youth Offending Team. Sarah is married with two school-age children and is our SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator). Clemmie Wigley joined us in January 2017. Clemmie has previously worked in state primary schools in London and also as a Teaching Assistant at Finton House. She graduated from Edinburgh University in 2012 and received her PGCE from Roehampton University in 2014. Clemmie will be working with our turning-threes.  IMG_2575
Tess Shepherd has been teaching at The Willow since January 2015. As a fully qualified teacher, she has worked at Newton Prep School and Fulham Prep (formerly Eridge House) in London, as well as schools in Australia. She teaches the younger children at the Willow and is extremely adept at managing children’s first experience of school. DSC08265
Lulu Luckock joined the Willow in February 2015. Lulu has been teaching primary school children for the past thirty years in London, Portugal, Dorset and Spain. She has been fortunate enough to have played a key role in the pastoral care of the children in the various schools she has taught in. Lulu is the proud mother of three grown up working children whom she home schooled for a time when they were little, which she loved. Lulu has recently started her own project to take the teaching of Emotional Intelligence into schools using the RULER program.

Connie Sale recently returned to The Willow, having worked as a teaching assistant during 2016, before heading to India to teach English and Drama. She is currently completing her Level 3 Diploma in Early Years, and is teaching the younger children. IMG_3596
Malou is our nursery assistant who helps with Connie’s group. She is originally from the Philippines, but has been in the UK for eight years. Malou works as an au-pair for a Willow family in the afternoons. DSC08259
Vanya is our nursery assistant who joined us in April 2016. Vanya is originally from Bulgaria and as well as working at The Willow works as a mother’s help for a family whose three children all attended The Willow.  SONY DSC
Eglantine is from Paris where she studied at the Fine Art school and graduated with a Master’s degree. In addition to her own art,  she has organised workshops for children in museums, has worked with children with traumatic life events and is a certified creative education practitioner. Eglantine lives in Brixton with her partner and their daughter and has been running her own painting studio for children for the last four years.   P1070450
Amanda Hunt is the Secretary at The Willow and is responsible for Registration & Admissions as well as all communicatoin and a lot of photocopying! She has worked at The Willow since 2011 but as an erstwhile Willow parent (her son left in 2011) has plenty of experience from both sides of the fence. Amanda is available throughout the school day in order to answer any queries relating to the school or any aspect of your child’s welfare.  DSC05858
Alice Clark is owner of The Willow Nursery. She is trained with a Bachelor of Education Degree and has three young children of her own. Alice taught for three years at Hill House School, four years at Garden House Boy’s school and two years in Sydney, Australia.
